Here is the latest scoop on our beautiful Brecken Andrew :)

He is still having one on one weekly visits with Jennifer from Brains. She is absolutely amazing and has been such a wonderful person to have working with Brecken. She is helping us a lot too as far as major decisions go regarding Brecken's care. I just can not say enough wonderful things about this woman.

Brecken is also attending OT sessions at Generation Care 1-2 times per week. Here they are working with his sensory issues, eye contact, language, and general OT. He works with two women there, Mrs. Tammi and Mrs Kim. They are also both absoluetly wonderful and are amazing with our little boy. I am just so grateful to have these women working with him who genuinely care about him and his success. It is absoluelty amazing too see them with him.

Brecken has attended Nelson Elementary for the last 3 weeks. 2 days a week for 3 hours. However, after one visit to the school and watching him scream and cry the entire time and no one intervene or re-direct him, Andy and I felt that it would be better to have him stay home from now on. There were many other factors leading to this decsion and it comes down to the fact we do not feel that Nelson Elementary is properly trained to handle or educate an ASD child. So as of right now we are looking into other school opportunities for him. One's that will work with him in all of the aspects he needs and not just be a place to drop him off for a few hours.
